Supported Placement Sizes
Meta ads run across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and the Audience Network, each with different aspect ratio requirements. StealAds generates creative optimized for all three core sizes.
1:1 - Square (1080 x 1080)
The universal format. Works in Facebook feed, Instagram feed, Marketplace, and right column. Best for maximum placement coverage.
4:5 - Vertical (1080 x 1350)
Takes up more screen real estate in mobile feeds. It often outperforms 1:1 on mobile because it pushes competing content out of view.
9:16 - Full Vertical (1080 x 1920)
For Stories and Reels placements on both Facebook and Instagram. This is a full-screen immersive format with the highest engagement potential.
Generating Variations
You can generate size variations at two points in the workflow.
During initial generation:
Select which sizes you want before generating. Each size is generated independently. The layout, text placement, and composition are adapted for the specific aspect ratio instead of just being cropped.
After generation:
Already generated a concept in 1:1 but need 9:16 for Stories? Use Check missing sizes to see which placements you're missing, then generate just those variations without re-running the full concept.
Best Practices
Getting the most out of size variations comes down to understanding how each format is consumed.
